I live and work in The Netherlands for already 3 years, Veldhoven to be exactly. The lockdown gave me actually the first opportunity to go and see more of the country. No idea what to expect when I took the exit on the A2 highway. I find this place amazing and very peaceful. Some parts remind me of home. The only thing I still find difficult is to pronounce the name of the village :D

I have visited Sint-Oedenrode or 'Rooi' once when I was still a child. For some reasons those memories have always sticked with me. Since I've taken up nature photography as a full-time hobby I try to come back as much as possible. For me it's a 50 minute drive, but when I scroll through my pictures at the end of the day, It's always been worth it.

I came to Holland 14 years ago. My colleague at the time advised me to take my family for a trip to Sint-Oedenrode. To enjoy the great food and drinks and the "Keenhoff" park. [Kienehoef] And stargazing at night, as there is zero light pollution the night sky here looks fascinating. Every time we come back to this wonderful town, my wife and kids see this as the ultimate family weekend.
